The Brother HC 1850 Is Easy To Use

Those who have purchased the Brother HC1850 Sewing and Quilting Machine find it very easy to use.  Everything from the quick set bobbin to the easy threading system is designed to get even a novice seamstress off to a fast start.  The convenient stitch flip chart is right where it is needed.  The work area is well lit with an LED light, making it easier to work with darker fabrics.  For quilters, the wide attachable table provides ample workspace.

The range of unique built in stitches is impressive.  There are 42 stitches for garment construction, 14 quilting stitches, 94 decorative stitches, 12 “heirloom” stitches, and 8 stitches for creating button holes.

Work starts with the flip chart and the LCD display screen with push button controls for selecting the perfect stitch pattern.  To get started, you simply drop the bobbin into place, pull the thread through the slot, move the bobbin to the right, and push the Start button.  The bobbin will wind for you automatically.  The speed slide control makes it very easy to adjust the stitch speed while you are sewing.  And, the feed system moves the fabric quickly and smoothly through the work area for more precise stitching.

Customer Reviews

There are very few customer reviews for the Brother HC1850.  However, the small number of customers who have chosen to review this sewing machine on line are in love with it.  The easy to use computer display gets high marks.  Reviewers also like that the machine can be operated without a foot pedal, which is especially convenient for the disabled.

Novice sewers will enjoy the Brother HC1850 Sewing and Quilting Machine.  It is lightweight and portable, making it perfect for carrying to sewing class.  The LCD computer screen is easy to use, and the users can learn all they need to know from the manual and instructional DVD.

The only drawback mentioned so far is with the power supply.  The Brother HC1850 Sewing and Quilting Machine comes with an 110V power cord that does not work well in countries that cannot support 120V AC.  The manufacturer recommends not using the machine in these countries, even with an adapter.

Otherwise, reviewers have given this machine the highest possible rating. (Read more reviews…)
